Dr. Paik has special expertise concerning motility disorders in adults of all ages. He is board certified in internal medicine, geriatric medicine, and gastroenterology.
As a one of the few geriatric gastroenterologist in the country, he serves as the Director of the Comprehensive Gastrointestinal (GI) Center for Aging at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center (SLR). In this role, he provides high-quality GI care to adults and seniors at the center. He specializes in swallowing disorders, gastroesophageal reflux, chronic vomiting, dyspepsia, gastroparesis, IBS, refractory constipation and fecal incontinence.
As the Director of Neurogastroenterology and Motility Laboratory at SLR, Dr. Paik offers cutting-edge GI motility testing and treatment, including minimally invasive endoscopy, esophageal and anorectal motility testing, ambulatory esophageal reflux monitoring and anorectal biofeedback therapy. In addition, he is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Korean.
